Let me take this opportunity to use tragedy for my benefit and invite you all to my home away from home at http://brightkite.com/people/acompute...
It's a great substitute for times like this when Twitter is down. Never out of touch.

Dear Twitter: Make everybody start over with 0 followers, except for me and @WiredPig of course. ...Okay, except for the rest of my Twitterbuds too then (excluding the 20K plus club) but with an exemption for @LeoLaporte. Oh, and I especially hate everyone with 2,500 to 3,500 followers. They're obnoxious peeps.

Voicemail not being recorded?I noticed that when messages are left, the time show 0:00 in length and there is no message to play. I tested it and it is broken.

Woah, the timeline is all effed up now! Doc Brown, help! I am so confused. I do not know what Twitter was or what prayin' is. Tommy...TOMMY?
I tell you what good came out of this. We all learned how much we love each other and how much we miss each other in our little Twitterverse. I miss @MouseWords and "maybe" @Tindle, but not really. lol
We also all learned how effective getsatisfaction.com can be in bringing a problem pubic and getting some action. Okay, I know it's public. I'm not stupid. But I still want some pubic action.
Sincere thanks to @biz, @jack and @ev who I tease on a regular basis. But who is this Goldfinger dude and why is Twitter feeding him to the lions?
Catch up soon...

Let's look at this logically. (Gosh I miss posting silly comments on Twitter.) With that out of the way, I "thought" the problem is... certain tweeters (such as I, @acomputerpro) cannot be seen on anyone’s timeline, not even the pubic timeline. (Sorry, just amusing myself at the readers expense again.)
I’ve tested my theory by tweeting (modest... TWOOSHING) and then looking at the timeline of ALL those who follow me. Well, okay, not all 2,000+, but many...
I’m thinking this is more of a database replication failure issue than anything else. Cache smashe... I don't know the secret Ruby Rail Slipper Twitter database, but allegedly, it wasn't built with scalability in mind.
Perhaps that's just hogwarts to throw off the fine folks at Google. Maybe Twitter has the ultimate lol database. But regardless, caching shouldn't be the issue. Replicating the database across multiple servers, each handling a group (x number of users)... now that may be the problem.
But, bottom line. Fix it now and fix it fast. Call someone who CAN fix it. Ask Jeeves. Get Google, and ask for their help. Even worse, call Mr. Gates. Wait... call Steve Jobs. Have him sprinkle magic Apple dust on it. It's lighter than air.

Whoops, I commented in the wrong place. I wish I was better at this computer stuff. Anyway... Ha ha! "a week or so to re-cache" lol. That doesn't explain why the problem is specific to individual users, such as ME. My tweets do not go to anything but my timeline. They don't even go to the public timeline. This is a user specific issue. What's the real deal? – acomputerpro, on April 21, 2008 18:32

Lies... all lies. Don't you think if the engineers and programmers at Twitter KNEW what they were doing, they would have fixed this by now? Three days... now going on "a bit?" Come on! I'm "a friggin computer pro" and I fix stuff like this all the time. I fix it fast. There is something going on that Twitter is not telling us. What's the real story Goldshoes? Hmm??-
