I like the way you think. My issue here is not necessarily the cost but my plan is text limited. So when I have to ration them so to speak. So forwarding, though an option at times, is not always ideal. Manually entering them would be one way around that problem. Also, and here was the foundation for my suggestion with pix archiving, my friends will sometimes send a long text as a pix message because the character limit is much higher (1000) versus the 160 limit with a standard SMS. That was basically the reason I'd suggested either pix archiving and the manual-entry mode suggested here. Thanks Paul for considering this idea.
