Britta, neither of those lets you mass delete tags. A google search reveals lots of people annoyed by the inability to easily delete tags in bulk. – Adam Spiers, on October 18, 2009 22:41-

Hooray! I stumbled across the solution for me:

Changing winecfg > Audio > DirectSound > Hardware Acceleration to Emulation results in the sound quality going from awful to excellent! Sorry Spotify for casting doubts over the quality of your service! – Adam Spiers, on September 25, 2009 13:29

Thanks ricarrod, this transformed the sound quality from awful to great for me! – Adam Spiers, on September 25, 2009 13:28

A comment on the question ""Enable high bitrate" does not change the quality on the songs." in Spotify:
Definitely not a problem with my sound equipment. For example, I bought the 192kbps MP3 version of this track from 7digital:
spotify:track:37sIATjMjD6R9otmqRzdaj
and the difference in quality between the MP3 playback and Spotify's playback is as clear as night and day - the former sounds great and the latter sounds awful. In the first few seconds of the track on Spotify, high frequency artefacts and quality loss are extremely noticeable. The same high frequency artefacts (not sure how to describe them other than tinny) are clearly audible in the first 10 seconds of spotify:track:13LMeyy5nz3phzWokSIToh mentioned above and in fact the majority of Spotify tracks I have listened to. It's more noticeable when there is more space in the music or when it's quieter. – Adam Spiers, on September 25, 2009 11:27

Thanks but I tried it and am still definitely hearing noticeable artefacts from low bit rate on at least two of the tracks. It's most obvious on the quieter ones, for example spotify:track:13LMeyy5nz3phzWokSIToh – Adam Spiers, on September 25, 2009 10:34

I signed up for the premium service specifically to avoid the awful sound quality at the lower bitrates; however even though when I logged out and in again after subscribing the ads have correctly disappeared, the sound quality is still definitely at the lower bitrate for *every* track I play, even ones I have never listened to before, so it cannot be a caching issue. My client definitely has the high bitrate option enabled.
This is extremely disappointing - I have not got what I paid for.-

Adam Spiers reported a problem in Suunto on December 15, 2008 17:42:
Suunto Training Manager is poorly maintainedUpdates to the Suunto Training Manager (STrM) are few and far between, and there are many serious problems with the software which are basically being ignored (read the Suunto forums to see many examples of this). This is a crying shame, because the actual watches are great.
