Adam Nash replied on September 25, 2009 04:49 to the problem "LinkedIn doesn't work with Google Chrome!!!" in LinkedIn:
Hi everyone,
We are still having significant problems reproducing this issue. It seems to be geography related, but it doesn't reproduce based on user account. We believe it may be related to specific advertisements, but we've found no smoking gun yet. Approximately 4% of our users are on Chrome, so we really do want to identify this issue.
As a reminder, posting here on GetSatisfaction actually doesn't help us tremendously because we don't have the information about your user account. If you post here, please include your public profile URL.
Better yet, if everyone here submitted their problem through the customer service form on LinkedIn, it would significantly help our efforts. (I realize this might mean loading LinkedIn on a different browser given the issues being reported with Chrome).

Hi Jephrei,
Yes, it is possible. When you import from a webmail provider or from Outlook, you are given a screen with a list of everyone you have imported. You can de-select the "select all" box, and individually select which people you want to invite.
No one is invited until you click the box to invite the selected individuals.
Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,
We cannot reproduce this problem at LinkedIn. We have quite a few people using Chrome, and we can't find any issues like this.
It does look like it's an Ads-related problem, but it may be related to a specific campaign. We're still investigating.
If you find clues, please email support@linkedin.com with them.

Adam Nash replied on August 05, 2009 07:13 to the question "Getting data from the Linkedin web site" in LinkedIn:
I am not a legal expert, so please don't take my comments here as any form of official legal opinion.
1) My assumption was that your tweet would be in your own words, and contain a link to the content. It would not contain the content itself.
2) The language in the user agreement is very explicit that automation of the type you describe is prohibited.
If the goal is to drive traffic / awareness of your group through Twitter, a few simple words and URLs can go a long way.
I understand that you may be disappointed with the answer.

Adam Nash replied on August 05, 2009 06:22 to the question "Getting data from the Linkedin web site" in LinkedIn:
If the question is whether or not it is OK to scrape the LinkedIn site for content that you didn't generate, and then republish it on Twitter, then the answer is no, it's not legit.
From the user agreement "DON'T" section:
[DON'T] use manual or automated software, devices, scripts robots, other means or processes to access, “scrape,” “crawl” or “spider” any web pages contained in the site;
We are currently working on ways to get more LinkedIn content out on Twitter easily.
In the meantime, many group owners are finding success Tweeting out info about their groups manually, to drive membership and participation on LinkedIn.
To do this, just take your Group URL, shorten it, and include it in a tweet with some sample topic words, maybe from a recent discussion. People will find this either by following you, Twitter search, or indexing on a major search engine.

Adam Nash replied on July 11, 2009 15:56 to the question ""Who Viewed My Profile" has disappeared!" in LinkedIn:
Hi Vicki,
I've forwarded this to the folks responsible for Who Viewed My Profile. There were a few modules that were not showing up for some users yesterday, but it looks like your issue pre-dates that.
Just to be clear about GetSatisfaction, this is not a LinkedIn supported site. LinkedIn Customer Service is accessed through the main linkedin.com site. What you have here is a few employees who from time to time like to help out when they can. :)
As a result, posting on GetSatisfaction doesn't ensure that anyone from LinkedIn will actually see it.
Take care,
Adam

Adam Nash replied on June 19, 2009 02:47 to the question "Why can't I rank LinkedIN Searches by number of contacts anymore?" in LinkedIn:
Hi Alex,
We've been working on some major enhancements to LinkedIn search which we hope to be rolling out quite soon. We've implemented the ability to sort by number of connections as part of the new update, so unfortunately, this enhancement is tied to the release of the other major enhancements.
I apologize for not posting an update on this sooner.
Take care,
Adam
Adam Nash replied on June 11, 2009 03:07 to the problem "30k connections and 100 people waiting - what do I do next?" in LinkedIn:
Hi John,
LinkedIn currently has a 30,000 limit on the number of active connections you can have. If you have additional connection requests that you'd like to accept, I'd recommend looking through your existing connections and removing those that are no longer active or relevant.
The "Remove Connections" action is available on the Connections page, listed under "Contacts" in the navigation.
Take care,
Adam

Adam Nash replied on April 29, 2009 04:31 to the question "LinkedIn Network Statistics isn't working!" in LinkedIn:
Hi Declan,
I'm sorry to report that right now we're still investigating the issue. We have not been able to reproduce it in our testing environments, which makes it particularly tricky. It seems to only happen with certain accounts on the full public site.
They are investigating closely. When we have a fix, I will post an update here. The only thing we know for sure at this point is that the error that was occurring before is completely gone... but something is still failing on this page for a very small % of users.

Adam Nash replied on April 28, 2009 03:36 to the question "LinkedIn Network Statistics isn't working!" in LinkedIn:
Just to clarify, there are no bugs with anyone's profile. The issue is that certain accounts seem to be triggering the bug with the Network Statistics page.
We fixed the error that we were seeing previously, but now a new error has started occurring for some people. Our engineers are investigating it now.
