C'mon, if Songbird developers are serious about their product they need to work on this "The.... " issue regardless of Last.fm
I can understand why it's probably not among the top 10 on their hot-items list, but hey, no one should have to go through all the bands (36 'The..." bands in my library at the moment) and alter their names. Lazy?? Maybe. But isn't that what making a friendly interface all about - to make things as simple and easy for the user??

...Besides, it just looks lame to have 'The Kills' shown just as 'Kills' or 'The Fall' shown as just 'Fall'.... or 'Cure' instead of 'The Cure'.

I have just upgraded from Songbird 0.7 to Songbird 1.0.
I was informed that Songbird 1.0 would arrange artists in the Artists filter alphabetically while ignoring the word "The" for Groups such as The Beatles, The Cure, The Velevet Underground, and so on...

Yet, after installing Songbird 1.0, it is still arranging all groups that start with "The" under T.

Why is this? Is there some preference or option that I've missed?

I often find myself toggling between mini player view and main player view, especially when working on the computer while Songbird is running in the background.
A keyboard shortcut to toggle between mini player and main player view would be a nice addition to the hotkeys.

I was just about to write the exact same comment (I think).

When using the 'Artist' and 'Album' filters: If I select an Artist, then select an Album by that Artist, and then select 'all' in the Artist filter in order to see all Artists listed for that particular album (as in a compilation album) - annoyingly the Album filter automatically jumps to 'all' as well, instead of remaining on the album which was selected.

songbird should remember last volume position upon startup

Currently the volume controler's default position is at the half way mark and it resets to this default position every time Songbird starts up. Nine times out of ten I end up having to adjust the volume back to where I usually set it. It would be preferable if Songbird remembered the volume setting from last time the application closed.
