Hi Brandon,

The site is created in Rails, and like Amiel mentioned, we're using jQuery for our Javascript framework.

Rails is a great framework to pick up, especially since MVC is the direction everybody's going. Knowing a good MVC framework is a very hirable skill these days.

In terms of our development environment, all of our code is written by hand, and we're using TextMate on OS X.

Unfortunately, the solution lies on Google's shoulders, as they don't currently allow shortcode use on GV. As soon as they do this, Tatango (and all other shortcode services) will work.

It would be a pretty great feature, hopefully enough people will suggest it to Google and they'll make it happen!

Hi Bilski,

Since you have removed your group's public status under "Group Settings", messages by default are not shown on the public page.

To show messages on the public page, remember to check the "Post to my group profile" checkbox when you send a message.

In addition, you can show or hide any message you've sent. To show a message, go to "Sent Messages", click on the message you'd like to show, and press the "Show on Public Page" link.

If the entire SMS is being stripped at the shortcode boundary (which is what it looks like), there's very likely nothing we can do.

What happens when you send them to non-iPhone users?
What about between carriers?

Are you talking about the japan-keyboard hack?

It's very likely that they get stripped out by carriers when they cross over the shortcode barrier.

Do you have an example of a Tatango message where they have been stripped out?
