Ads shared an idea in Apple on May 25, 2009 14:00:
More streaming options for Apple TVApple TV would be a much more appealing product to actually spend money on if it allowed you stream media directly from a network folder.

Apple's take on this is trying to sell hardware, and always will be.
If they removed DRM from tv shows and movies there would be no reason to buy their Apple TV which is their prime objective in selling movie/tv show content.
But I definitely agree it would be an awesome move by Apple and would increase the number of people wanting to purchase movies/tv shows on iTunes ALOT!

Adam Coulter replied on May 25, 2009 13:41 to the question "Suddenlink POP3 and SMTP Auto-setup" in Apple:
I think it has the smarts to 'auto detect' the mail settings by using the domain name of the email address the user enters.
For example if your email address is john@suddenlink.com it would look for mail servers at addresses like mail.suddenlink.com and pop.suddenlink.com, so I would recommend creating alias' for your mail server which uses this kind of convention.
