Hi Thor,
I'm a Principal Scientist at mSpoke and it's my responsibility to make sure that FeedHub provides you with the best feed items.
FeedHub uses evidence from many memes (or features) of feed items to determine whether it will place an item in your personalized feed. Memes can model information present in the item such as the topic "unlocking the Apple iPhone" and the category "Tennis" or more "social" aspects like "the item is in the del.icio.us hotlist." If the memes for an item provide enough evidence that you will like the item, FeedHub will put the item in your personalized feed.
FeedHub chooses an initial set of memes for a personalized feed based on an analysis of the content of the feeds you provide. As items are delivered, the existing memes are adjusted and new memes may be introduced based on your reading habits and other feedback that FeedHub collects. The more you use your personalized feed, the better FeedHub gets, reducing the risk that FeedHub will fail to deliver you items you would find interesting.
