After first denying it because I supposedly returned the items, then denying it because I supposedly used coupon sv2132, now it is being denied because of cashback that I received from fatwallet.
It is true I did receive cashback from fatwallet for one of the 2 orders as I just opened my cashback account at fatwallet:

Transaction History [ View : Standard, Checkbook ]
View my transactions for the month of:
Date Merchant Order ID Flags Purchase Amount Cash Back Status Report Date
Nov 28, 2008 HP Home & Home Office Store H105111333

However fatwallet cashback was only recieved for order H105111333 as you can see above and not order H105112490 which still qualifies for cashback. I think the experience speaks for itself and I am curious what will happen next, as this will be blogged about.

    Dear Ahmed,

Thank you for submitting the details of your purchase to us. I apologize that the previous response referenced a coupon that was not used on your order. However, I did verify with HP that an affiliate discount or coupon was used. Additional research shows that although you accessed HP through our link originally, the final purchase was not made when you clicked through our site. A different affiliate link was used, and HP has attributed your purchase to them, not Live Search cashback.

In this case it is HP who has made the final determination, and this decision cannot be overturned. I'm sorry that you are not satisfied with their decision.

    Sincerely,

    Erin H.

The letter above indicates coupon sv2132 was used. I did some research into coupon sv1232 and it is as follows:

    * HP is offering $30 off on orders of $150 or more with the coupon code, "SV2132." Offer excludes Compaq Presarios PCs, HP Mini 1000, and HP Pavilion special edition notebook PCs.HP Shopping Coupon: SV2132 - Expires: 4/30/2009 (taken from : http://www.dealcatcher.com/hp-shoppin...

no coupon was used as shown in the receipt below. Very, very shady practices and I still have not had the problem rectified.

Subject: ive Search cashback:A purchase in my account :I didn't cancel or return

    Hi,

After researching this order with HP they confirmed that a coupon was used during checkout. Since a coupon was used I cannot approve the cashback being credited to your account.

According to item 17(g) of the Microsoft Service Agreement, you will not earn cashback awards on purchases where you also use a separate discount or coupon. In your case, you used coupon code SV2132. To ensure that future purchases are qualifying purchases, please see our terms of use at http://help.live.com/help.aspx?projec...

I apologize for any disappointment or frustration this has caused you, and I thank you for your patience as we've completed our research.

    Thanks,

    Ben

M3, I did all of that a long time ago. In my post, I state the reason they did not give me cashback is because they said I returned the item.
I didi not return the item, I proved that.
now they say that I used a coupon
I did not use a coupon, I don't know where they got that from.
You are saying there was a blackout issue. that was not the case here because the cashback was in my account, then it was canceled as you can see below:

Here is the email I just sent:
Clearly you are trying to find ways to bamboozle me out of the cashback you have promised, and have no intention of paying it. Initially, you have said that I returned the laptops. The reason I have emailed you 10 times now is to clearly prove that I have not returned any laptops. It seems that you have conveniently forgot that this was the issue. The issue was never about coupons. You simply have claimed without any proof that I have returned the laptops. I simply asked for the proof. It took you 1 month and a half to tell me that you are confirming with hp to see if I had returned anything; however when you finally get back to me you talk about coupons. Sir, the reason the cashback got canceled as you can see from the screenshot below. As of march 19, It says "you returned all items in this order". I have not returned any items, but why does it say that? Why was my cashback canceled if I had not returned any items? Why does the cashback home page give me one false reason (that I returned all items) and the escalation team, after a month of research into whether I had returned the items or not, totally pretended that now the fake reason is that I used coupon "Sv2132", which I have never heard of before this email because I don't know what that coupon is and I have never used it! In fact, I included the original reciept below directly from HP and it clearly shows that that coupon does not exist in my order!
For your information, I did some research into coupon sv1232 and it is as follows:

    * HP is offering $30 off on orders of $150 or more with the coupon code, "SV2132." Offer excludes Compaq Presarios PCs, HP Mini 1000, and HP Pavilion special edition notebook PCs.HP Shopping Coupon: SV2132 - Expires: 4/30/2009 (taken from : http://www.dealcatcher.com/hp-shoppin...)

I do not have that coupon in my order and this coupon is likely one that didi not even exist at the time I placed my order back in november. In addition, the reciept is below and no coupon is shown.

It is clear that MSN live search has no intention of giving any cashback back to customers who deserve that cash back based on the terms of the program. Instead MSN decides to play the delay game, hoping you will give up or are not smart enough to figure out that you need to contact an escalation specialist; and when these pros get on the job, after another 2-3 weeks all they do is completely ignore the original false reason that they canceled the cashback (in my case, falsely reflecting that I returned all items) when the clear facts come out and replacing that with a silly fraudulent accusation about using a coupon which I have not used or even ever heard of, and ofcourse one that (conveniently) there is no record of using on the reciepts.
I have posted my experience on getsatisfaction.com. I intend on posting this all over facebook as well.

Cashback is a Scam read what happened....Unbelievable!
Cashback is a Scam read what happened....Unbelievable!
Cashback owes me over 700 dollars for 4 laptops that I purchased on black friday from HP. They cancelled my cashback saying that I returned the item, I contacted HP and they resent the transaction tickets, and I sent the information to the escalation team, after a month and a half of not getting any response from regulat cashback customer service. after an additional 2 weeks, I get an email from the escalation team not even addressing the original issue of whether I returned the laptop or not (which I did not!) but saying the cashback is invalid because I used coupon code sv2132! I never used that coupon, I don't know what it is and also it is not found anywhere on my reciepts or transaction reports. I don't know ehre they got it from!
This is the most ridiculous scam ever! It seems they have no intention of giving me the cashback they promised, even though I cleary deserve it. Bill Gates a fraudster? I am posting this all over facebook.
