This is very good to know that there is a comma problem in export/import process. This may sort out all of my problems. I'll give it a try and post the results here

Thanks for the reply Rogers, the problem is, when you have more than a handful of bookmarks, you need to get them organized into a folder structure (delicious does it with tags). I can export delicious bookmarks into html (more than 100 of them even), and import into xmarks, ending in having all my bookmarks, but I loose all of my directory structure. Believe me, this makes it impractical to use the bookmarks since I have more than 100 bookmarks accumulated for more than 2 years.

I will consider importing from delicious is complete only when the directory structure is also imported.

I can write an application to fetch a users bookmarks from delicious because they have an open API, but cannot import these bookmarks to xmarks, because xmarks do not have such an API.

I am returning back to del.icio.us. No API available for Xmarks, so I cannot write a program to transfer my bookmarks, and they are not providing the tool doing it, so sorry guys, until you do your homework, I'll continue my life with del.icio.us service
