I think it would be a good thing if the growl notification would show a sender's name – and maybe even its picture if there is one in my address book.

I agree with the above, especially I would like to see the download manager's window to remember its position. And talking of it, I would like to be able to set an option that every time a file is downloaded I am asked about the download location – that would really help my Google Mail attachment filing.

How can I choose a download destination every time a download starts?

In the preferences it would be great to be able to choose "Always ask" instead of a certain download folder. This way I could place my mail attachments from Google Mail right where they belong without having to switch to the Finder and pulling it from the Downloads folder.

Alternatively it would be an idea to add a "Download to..." option into the context menu so I could download files to Downloads with a left click – and have the option to place a file right into a specific folder with a right click.

Thank you for the hint. That's an interesting application with some nice extras like drag'n'drop. I will test drive it for 30 days now.

Unfortunately switching between two accounts does take a moment as it logs you off the one and into the other account instead of keeping the two open at a time. On the other hand it keeps you up to date when a mail arrives in any of the accounts even in the background, so one might not have to switch very often

Too bad. I also tried this workaround just now – even with two different Fluid versions (0.9.2.5 and 0.9.3), but both SSBs still seem to use the same cookie. Nonetheless I fell in love with Fluid. The Internet feels different now – it's closer to me since it became a part of my digital desktop.
