The keyboard works - nice idea! But it's an extra step to access - have to slide the phone open in. Same problem with switching to password - no onscreen keyboard means that i have to slide the lock on the touchscreen, the slide the phone open, then type, then (usually) slide the phone closed again.
I still think my proposed solution is better - why not flash the last digit for a second just the same as if it's a password?

mac desktop app froze after adding liscense keyMac desktop application froze and required a "force quit". I was using the free download, left it open about a day, decided to buy a license, updated to use the liscense and that same evening the application froze and I lost my work. Later AIR suggested an update. Filing this in case it's a bug, I'm assuming it won't happen again.
Awesome functionality so far!

Palm Pre Password Lock causes user-error almost every timePalm Pre - I love this phone! Great hardware, great software, great UI! My problem is this: I'm using the password lock feature so that folks who find my phone don't get access to my personal information. It's a keypad that lets me enter a 4-digit combination to unlock the phone. However, it responds to my touch sluggishly and enters numbers as dots (rather than readable digits), and the combination means I can't tell which button-presses are detected and which digits have been successfully entered. I almost always get an error and have to re-enter, umpteen times a day.
Ideally you could fix the responsiveness issue, but even if not that, why not show the digit received in the box for a split-second before turning it into a dot?
