Hi Drew - we definitely recognize that this is something our users want, and we have some solutions in the works. I'll update this thread as soon as things progress :) – Rachel Pennig, on July 01, 2008 15:22

Hi Rachel...first, thanks for the blazing fast response! That will have to work for now. We're having people join a Ning community and are using pbwiki as an event signup. We just want to avoid making them jump through another hoop. I just want to voice my support for open wikis as a high priority. Thanks! We love the product otherwise. – Drew Geraets, on July 01, 2008 15:20

Hi Drew- have you seen the request access feature? You can read about it here: http://blog.pbwiki.com/2008/06/17/new...
Will this suffice until we design open wikis? – Rachel Pennig, on July 01, 2008 15:00

Aleks,
Have a look at the V2.0 Forum Demo Wiki. I created a single dummy login/password and placed them on the FrontPage. You can log in using that email, and invite yourself. It does involve an extra step, but that's what we have to live with until PBwiki can get this fixed.

Hello
I'm sorry but I don't believe we can offer a solution that will work for you on a v2 wiki. Currently there is no other way to invite folks into a 2.0 wiki
The closest we can offer is a 1.0 wiki that has the Invite Key posted on the login page. Some people have even posted a magic URL that allows anyone visiting the wiki to log in anonymously.
In either case, the person editing is not required to have a PBwiki Account.
If you wish, you can write Support and ask to have your premium status transferred to a new 1.0 wiki. You can create a 1.0 wiki if you make sure to un-check the 2.0 check box when you create it at http://pbwiki.com

How do I let anyone with a pbwiki account edit my 2.0 pbwiki? How do I let anyone with a pbwiki account edit my 2.0 pbwiki? I'd rather not invite EVERYONE one email at a time. Or even just let anyone edit. ANYHING that will avoid inviting new users. That will probably make me leave pbwiki (and I even pay for it!)-
Aleks started following the problem "I have no key or password options." in PBwiki.
