New Report: Gross Income, Expenses, Net Income.... My accountant asked if there was a way to view all three of these (gross income, expenses, net income) summarized in a single report. Would be a conveninent report to have.

A comment on the idea "Ability to "flag" expenses, invoices, or payments" in Less Everything:
That's one solution, and I'd use that. But it's a specific meaning that only covers certain use cases. If I just want to remember to ask my accountant about a transaction later, is it technically "incomplete"?
p.s. I did read the less everything blog post about "if only it had this feature". I'm not trying to be that guy :-P – Jason Tremblay, on April 21, 2009 16:27

Well, more like I'm not 100% sure of something I entered... maybe I have to go check on the date of the expense, or maybe I have to figure out which credit card I paid with. Or maybe enter something, then check with my accountant about what category it belongs in.
This was particularly the case when I was entering all my '08 expenses at once, right before taxes were due. I just wanted to get through my pile of receipts, then polish up the details afterward.

Tab order flaw when entering new expenseWhen entering a new expense, it's quickest to use the keyboard and the tab key to move between fields... BUT if you hit spacebar to check "Expense is Paid" then tab quickly, the field "When is this expense due?" incorrectly gains focus because the correct field -- "When was it paid?" -- has not animated into view yet.
The "Expense is Paid" check box should instantly affect the tab order of the next field somehow.

Better file names when exporting page dataWhen you export page data in the "Watch Money" section you should name the resulting file based on the requested category / date range / account instead of using generic names like "paid expenses.csv"

"Export Page Data" returning incorrect data setWhen I...
- go to Watch Money > Chart of Accounts
- click "View" next to a Payables category
- click "Change Date Range" and choose "Last Year"
- observe that the list of data is correct
- click "Export Page Data"
- open the downloaded CSV
Conclusion: the data in the CSV is incorrect and doesn't match the browser display

Ability to "flag" expenses, invoices, or paymentsIt would be great to be able to somehow "flag" certain items in such a way that they stand out in the list -- maybe stars, flags or a bright color. This could be used anytime you wanted to mark something for future consideration. I'd use it to mark incomplete entries.
