    Well, crossfading is not gapless playback, so no, this has not been implemented yet.

    Gapless Playback means no pause between two songs, crossfading means that the songs overlap, usually for customizable time between 1-5 seconds and with fade-in/out.

    I hope crossfading will come soon, I miss this very much!

    Hey All-
    I agree with Michael, switching the sound playback to ALSA under Music and Movies under Sound Preferences fixed my issue. I am not sure if its just a pulseaudio thing, but I had the same type of issue on Amarok before.
    At least for me it seems to happen when I play any type of video in the browser and then play a song and/or vice versa.

    Minimize to System Tray (Linux)
    Hey All-
    I figure I post this comment since others might not able to get the minimize to work and in case I forget how to do it myself. :)
    Here are the steps I used to get Songbird to the system tray:
    1. Install AllTray
    2. Go to Program Launcher in System>Preferences>Main Menu
    3. Create a program launcher by clicking New Item.
    4. Add a icon, name, comment and add the following command:
    alltray location_of_songbird_program
    5. This will add a program launcher under Applications.
    6. *Click on the Songbird icon in the system tray to minimize/maximize.
    *Minimize button on Songbird doesn't work, at least for me.

    I would like to add that Songbird is a great program. The only reason I sought another media player is because Amarok2 wouldn't work for me on Jaunty. It wouldn't even play one song before it crashed.
    It would be great if Songbird could add:
    a crossfade feature
    minimize to system tray option
    bookmarks button while in browser mode OR/AND let you separate your current bookmarks by creating folders.
