I had winXP, I reinstalled with Vista. I assume that the playlist information is stored in a standard format file, like an xml file or something.
I HAVE ALL MY FILES.
Basically, my box broke. I need to re-extract the playlist info somehow. If you need me to write a goddamn perl script to do it, I can, but I need to know where the data is.

I have to say guys, I am extremely disappointed.
The ability to consolidate is extremely important. I recently switched to Songbird because I liked it so much. However, I did not have the ability to consolidate, and because I could not consolidate OR drag+drop, I could not effectively backup. A crash finally came.
I will be switching back to iTunes.
Is there a return policy on the t-shirt I bought?

playlist file restoreHay!
I recently had to reinstall my operating sytem. I did not lose any files, but I did have to reinstall Songbird, and I want my playlists back. I was wondering of I could re-import any relevant metadata files back into their original places and recover this information?
Thanks so much
Alex
