I have finally received official response from Rogers customer service: "We regret to inform you that we currently do not unlock Rogers phones.
You may be able to contact the manufacturer to see if they would unlock
the mobile phone, however, if an outside party other then Rogers unlocks
the phone, the warranty is immediately discontinued."
How I understand that means that I bought phones from Rogers but Rogers do not allow me to use those phones with other networks.
I am not a lawyer and can't say right away how this offenses my customer rights but I am sure it does and I am going to find out. If anyone here can give a clue please share.

My contract has expired and I want to switch over to another GSM provider but I want to use phones I bought from Rogers but they are locked. So I called Rogers customer service and ask them how to unlock my phones. They said: "Go to any Rogers store and they will be able to unlock your phones". I have visited a few stores already and people there have no idea how to unlock the phones. They say they never heard that they could do that and that I am the first person asking them to do that. Any ideas what's going on?
