Apple should have released 2.0 last night or the day before
Maybe Apple should have released the iPhone 2.0 software upgrade last night, or the day before in order to alleviate strain on the activation servers when customers start buying the iPhone 3G in massive numbers.

It seems the general consensus is that Apple's servers are flooded with activation requests and error -9838 has something to do with the fact that there are too many requests.

I even talked to an Apple representative who informed me that one of the Apple servers crashed entirely.
