I have implemented twitpic API support for Gimp which made me think of the possibility to add OAuth to API calls as well (assuming that OAuth will be supported). This way, it would not even be necessary to enter a password in the API application, rather you have to copy two tokens or authorize the application via the twitter web page and enter a PIN. This way it may even be possible to support application ids other than twitpic for new applications.

Even though the API method upload supports adding a message, this is missing in the description. I assume that the message was added at some point, but not in the description.

on a side note, i think it is commendable that you are in fact supporting OAuth, I would prefer if more application would.

How about supporting OAuth for API calls? When you authorize a non-web application against twitter, the called url is twitter.com and the callback is implemented by a pin that has to be copied back to the application but this way you will enter the password neither in the application nor to the yfrog site.
This way it may even be possible to implement application ids in the twitter messages for other webpages or client applications.

Omniture is practically everywhere, but from what I know they do not gather other data than navigation data.

(unless the site is handing them more info, for this you have to check the javascript code for omniture)

when sending a media file by email, please add an option to just send the link. The same can be achieved by copying the hidden link and creating a mail directly, but having an option inside drop.io would be nice.

There are usually a few tweets by given users that I want to ignore without unfollowing the user, it would be very useful to be able to ignore tweets based on substring patterns or regexp, either for a given user or for all users.
The same could be useful for highlighting certain tweets.
This could be either implemented on the service itself (webpage and api) or it could be implemented in the 3rd party applications, e.g. Tweetdeck

How about an option to collapse consecutive tweets by the same user to be able to show different users on the first page.
I have a few users that post a few tweets in a short time, sometimes taking up all of the 1st page so that everybody else moves to the next pages

When registering for meetup on a specific group's page, you will "accidentally" join that group.
Maybe it's just me but after browsing around a bit I decided to register an account and didn't notice I joined the group as well.
On the other hand, it may be useful to join the current group in some cases, so maybe this should be made optional.
