alexander van york reported a problem in Cox Communications on February 12, 2009 23:01:
Cox Communications screwed me over.A few months ago before I decided I would be better off without their services I had called in to downgrade my digital cable plan to basic. To fulfill this request they came out and physically disconnected our cable, when I called in to get it fixed they told me to go out to BFE (one of their stupid customer service centers) and present my ID, otherwise they wouldn't turn it back on. I don't own a car and busses do not go there, I eventually bummed a ride and when I got there I was told that coming in was not nescesarry. I do not remember the supervisor's PID that basically told me to go F myself, but her name was vaugn?
Even when our cable was active our plan was changed every month and I had to spend hours on the phone to get it fixed. We never had stable service and we were never offered a refund for the hundreds of dollars worth of service that we never got!
A comment on the problem "X61 high pitched squeeling noise" in Lenovo:
I guess my concern is that it seems like a lot of x61 laptops have this issue and i will be told to either take an identical one or deal with it. I do know that the x61s does not have the issue. – alexander van york, on February 12, 2009 18:47

alexander van york reported a problem in bodum on February 12, 2009 15:54:
Double-walled shin bistro is a lemonI purchased two bodum Double-walled Shin Bistro french presses and both of them are horribly made. The poor spout is so small that if you poor faster than a trickle to gushes down the side of the press and all over your counter.
The internal components are already falling apart on both of them. I have only had these presses for about two months.
Bodum is not returning my voicemails.

X61 high pitched squeeling noiseMy x61 makes a horrible squeeling noise when it runs on battery. I researched the problem and it has to do with when the chipset is switching between power states. Lenovo replaced my motherboard and it still made the same noise. I called them and told them the problem wasn't resolved, they sent me a box to ship it back and I waited a month to get it returned and all they did was replace the motherboard again. The piece of crap still makes the same noise, I can't use it in class because of the high pitched squeeling noise. Lenovo has stopped answering my calls.
I purchased the 3 year onsite accidental warranty and this is the service i get. the x61 is a lemon.
