Possible to sync iPod with 2 PCs?

I'm running Ubuntu Jaunty and want to sync my iPod to Songbird (to import my music), however, I want to continue syncing to iTunes on my Windows machine as well.

Is there any way to do this?

Would I need to manually import the music from my iPod to the Ubuntu machine?

It looks like someone has managed to do with with Amarok, so the same method might work with Songbird (???). I haven't tried it, as I don't have an Airport Express device yet, but here's the link with instructions:

Maybe someone can confirm if it can be applied to Songbird and whether or not it works with Ubuntu Jaunty?

I think there are various requests for the same functionality.

Will be great if and when it's added! As a Linux user, I don't have the option to use Airfoil.

I'm going to install Ubuntu 8.10, so will go with the 32bit version if Songbird's not working on 64bit.

I'd also like to stream audio from Songbird to Airport Express, but I'm using Ubuntu.
So is there any chance this might get added as a new feature? As I understand it, Airport Express uses a standard protocol, so it should be possible.

In that case, I am using XFCE, as 'Settings' is the first option on the list.

I'm using Mythbuntu 8.04.1. I don't actually know hopw to check if I'm using GNOME or XFCE - can anyone advise? Regardless, it's just vanilla Mythbuntu, so whatever came with the standard package.

I spent some time on this last night and tried installing from the Tar file, but the same problem happened; Songbird would not start.
Not even from the Terminal.

I think I should set up a separate partition with Ubuntu 32bit and install Songbird on there; I know it works on the latest Ubuntu, as I used to have it running.

I downloaded the package from getdeb.net. I did originally download the tar version, but when I researched how to install it (via script), it put me off.

The version is Songbird 0.7 (as mentioned above) and I'm running the default version - I think it includes Gnome.

I installed Songbird 0.7 on latest version of Mythbuntu 64bit (via DEB package), but after installing, Songbird would not start.

When I checked the system monitor, it showed 2 instances of Songbird, both 'sleeping'.

Any ideas why this might be?

I'd missed the fact that you had to click 'Open' for the default folder - doh!

Can anybody advise how I can add a Songbird icon to the application in the menu?
I have an icon, but when I browse to add it, the icon doesn't appear in the folder where I saved it.
Why doesn't the Linux installer do this automatically?
