Split window optionHave you considered adding an option to split the window? Example: I have a list with two rows at the top which I would like to keep in view while scrolling down a long list. I could imagine an option to make selected rows "sticky" - that is, to let all other rows (below or above) scroll away behind them. Alternatively: split window between rows, the option that's familiar from Excel.-

GUI: threaded DMs look differentCompared to all other listings in Tweetie, threaded DMs have a different graphical representation of the speech bubble. Should I ask why? Let me just say that I would favor the default style over a playful diversion. By the way, placing avatars on opposite sides looks good.

GUI: short tweet + background versus avatarWhen you select a tweet, a dark grey background is shown, surrounding both the message field and the avatar. When a tweet has a short message, the avatar will extend below the background - slightly but visibly. I think that marking/highlighting the message field itself might look better than the grey backdrop.

It's about the movement!Tweetie makes moving through tweets fluid and clear. The navigation is frictionless. I'm excited.-

Choose URL shortening service from compose windowPresently, the action gear of the compose window let's you select the option to shorten URL. Would it be possible to list the URL shortening services right there instead of in the Preferences? You could then select the service on a tweet-by-tweet basis. I imagine that the last used service would be set automatically as the default option for the next tweet.-

Alexome marked one of Jesse Young's replies in Apture, Inc. as useful. Jesse Young replied to the question "aptureAutolink: display Twitter updates consistently".
Alexome asked a question in Apture, Inc. on March 28, 2009 14:41:
aptureAutolink: display Twitter updates consistentlyI like it that Twitter messages are recognized when embedded on a website with a Twitter badge. Both @username and the date (for example "6 minutes ago") are being apturized. What is especially good, is how a tweet is displayed in the Apture window. Obviously you apply styles whenever your system recognizs a link at a typical Twitter status URL, i.e. username/status/[number sequence]. It would be great if you would apply the same style when a Twitter URL is hard coded and linked manually with the help of the aptureAutolink class. Take a look at alexome.com. Compare how Apture renders the "bird" link and the status URL of a latest tweet. You'll see there is a difference.
In another case, I have already made you aware of inconsistencies when aptureAutolink class is applied.
To put it in form of a question: Could you apply the special Tweet styles in the Apture window when aptureAutolink is applied to a Twitter status URL?
Alexome replied on February 09, 2009 23:04 to the idea "Apture should show article section" in Apture, Inc.:
No, that's not what I am asking. I know about that. When I login to my Apture account, there is a settings page. In the settings I can select which link types to auto-link. I am talking about the auto-links. Apture will then recognize URLs to Wikipedia and open them in an Apture window. So far so good.
When the URL of a hard link on my page ends with a hash and an id for the section, like in the example, I would expect the Apture window to open with exactly that section. Clear now?
In other words, I would expect Apture to treat those links in the same way as links selected manually from the Table of Contents that you refer to.
