problems with twitter commands and missing updates via smsI recently have been experiencing some problems with some of twitter's commands via the sms (txt) service. I will send the command on usernameofperson and it wont return anything, i also have been experiencing some missing tweets being sent to my phone, meaning, sometimes when the people im following with device updates, post something, i wont even get it, but only happens sometimes.
other commands that arent working so well are those of fav usernamehere, off usernamehere and get usernamehere. Im curious as to what the problems are...
i have sorted out everything with verizon, are these twitter bugs permanent?
help me out.

Eridanus' reply to "DMs are not showing up in my inbox tab" was just promoted to the most useful! alexthefalloutboy and 3 other people think it's one of the best replies.
Twitter's Direct messages seem to be stored like normal tweets in Twitter's database - which has somewhat surprising consequences.
If you delete one of your normal tweets, then it disappears from Twitter, and no-one else on Twitter will be able to read it.
So far, so good.
If someone sends you a DM, it appears in your Inbox and in their Sent box.
If they later delete what they sent, it disappears from their Sent box - and also disappears from your Inbox.
Even more unexpected (though quite logical): if you delete a DM from your Inbox, it also disappears from the sender's Sent box too!
So it's possible your conversational partner deleted (most of) the discussion from their Inbox and Sent box - which would have deleted the DMs at your end too, though your partner probably wouldn't have realised that.
To me, this seems more like a bug than a feature: nowhere else in Twitter can someone else delete something I've written!
And it means you should take care not to delete a DM you've sent until you're sure the recipient has read it!

Latest Update: on twitter bugs with sms delays, Having any? what is going on? I have newest informationDear Twitter Team,
It is alexthefob1991 again here to tell you the latest that ive been noticing in minor errors and bugs that could be fixed.
I am using twitter via sms and I am using Verizon Wireless with SHORTCODE ENABLED, i have been noticing that on and off there are some sms delivery delays with varieties of different companies at different times. One week it will be T-mobile, the next it will be Verizon and so on.
I want to report that I have noticed that the sms updates are delayed only in random order, this time the time intervals are hard to analyze for a diagnostics test of the delay time, sometimes it will take longer than others, and sometimes it will be spot on like nothing happened. I noticed a problem as well with the commands such as "get username", "fav username", "on username", "on"; these commands all have their set time intervals in which i have found.
The standard time i have measured for the command "fav username" is anywhere from 1-5 seconds, the standard time for "get username" is anywhere from 1-9 second and sometimes an extreme of 10 minutes.
These are the only two that are responsive for me and a few of my friends. When my friends and I had submitted the command "on" or "off" or "on username", we hadnt recieved any notification message saying "updates are on".
from what i am learning,
these problems are arising because of the traffic on twitter's network
I understand this is a work in progress that is coming about and that i know you all at twitter are trying to fix this the best you can. I am thankful
Please fix the sms updates,
Thank you for all your hard work,
Alexthefob1991

Have you tried deleting your mobile device data. Considering TwitterBerry uses the internet on your mobile, it would be almost like logging in on the site, or using a 3rd party application. try deleting your mobile device info from the site and see if that stops. if you dont want to do that, simply txt Off to turn the sms (txt) updates off...
