You can reboot your Receiver only from your end:

On your remote Control
- go to menu
- go to settings or parental favs and settings (on HD)
- go to system
- go to reset
- hit the dash button to confirm (under the #7 button)
- wait for the system to restart

Another remote option: The Dell RC6 Windows media Remote works just fine with the Sling Player 2.0. This remote has number keys.

Just FYI, there was recently 3 main internet overseas cables that got cut. I know that is affecting some of our customers in Asia, the Middle East and Italy.

Hopefully it will be temporary. Internet traffic works like car traffic, if main roads are closed, everyone has to drive on the same side roads and it takes longer to get there. We are working on finding new proxy solutions that work consistently for all of our customers and will keep you up to date on what is happening.

Should I use 2.0 or 1.5 Slingplayer Software?

If you are using HD, you have to use 2.0 in order to access all the features. However, if you are using a proxy server with 2.0 you will not be able to use the new guide feature.

If you are using a MAC, you have to use 1.5.

If you are using a standard Definition receiver and Slingplayer, 1.5 is your best bet. version 2.0 has had numerous problems with slowing speeds, causing computers to crash, longer login process, etc. The "new features" offered do not make up for the technical problems caused. Once there are solutions to the glitches, we will test then let the customers know about the upgrade.
