Allan Linga replied on August 09, 2009 23:25 to the question "How to attach JIRA issue within JIRA to an "Account" in SalesForce" in CustomWare:
Hi Tobias,
You need to have Salesforce.com Account custom field configured and associated with your issue project and available in the issue edit screen. This field should be mapped to the SFDC Account.
To link your JIRA issue to SFDC account, edit the issue and use the lookup icon next to the Salesforce.com Account custom field. A popup window will be displayed and you can search the account you want. Then select the account from the result of the seach and save your issue. Assuming that you have configured the related JIRA issue S-Control in SFDC and added in the Account page layout, then your issue should be displayed in the Account page.
Regards,
Allan

Hi Simon,
Our plugin does not currently support this feature. We can certainly add this feature in future release. But if you want it sooner you can contact us at info@customware.net and we can discuss options with you.

The issue regarding special characters not supported during Case Search in JIRA has been resolved in Salesforce.com Plugin for JIRA version 3.0.2.
Here is the related JIRA issue.

Hi Leah,
At this point I cannot give a specific timeline for this feature as our focus at the moment is addressing any issues raised for v3.0.x. However I've put the issue as part of v3.1 and you can watch it here

Allan Linga asked a question in CustomWare on June 09, 2009 22:21:
Could not connect to Salesforce.com after upgrading to JIRA plugin v3.0+This is usually caused by the wrong Server URL in the JIRA configuration screen for Salesforce. The plugin version 3.0 and above uses version 14.0 of the Salesforce WSDL and this needs to be reflected in the URL. Please see the first chapter in the installation guide (“Installing the plugin”) for details. Several clients have had this same error when they upgraded their plugin but not the URL.

Hi Matt,
We have replicated the issue for double quotes on SF Case subject line. The single quotes works in the current version. We will fix the bug on double quotes in the next release. – Allan Linga, on June 04, 2009 03:40

Allan Linga replied on June 02, 2009 00:50 to the question "Error message in Jira Salesforce.com Case Numer (in Red) is uneditable" in CustomWare:
Hi Matt,
Can you please check your Salesforce.com to JIRA Mapping Configuration and see if you have mapped Case Number to the custom field of type Salesforce.com Case or Salesforce.com Case (with Case Number). If it is mapped, please delete these mappings. These custom fields are supposed to be handled internally as they need to store the Case ID and not the Case Number.
Now try creating a case in Salesforce and save it to JIRA and let us know if this solves your problem.
Unfortunately you will have to delete the previous JIRA issues that has the error and try saving the cases to JIRA again via Salesforce.com.
Regards,
Allan
