You're right, it was another extension I had installed that was conflicting. It's the UPromise toolbar (http://www.upromise.com/8206.do). Unfortunately, I use that toolbar quite a bit, so I'm not too eager to uninstall it. I guess I'll have to pass on using Feedly on my main computer. It works on my laptop, since I don't shop on that one and therefore don't need the upromise toolbar there.
Thanks for your help.

Allison reported a problem in Feedly on September 27, 2008 23:45:
Can't load Feedly - can only get "you ran into a bug" pageAfter installing Feedly on FF3.0.3 (originally happened with 3.0.1, but I upgraded to see if that would solve the problem - it didn't), when I click on the Feedly button, it brings up the "We're sorry, you just ran into a bug" page. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but to no avail.
Also, the bug page doesn't show any version information. Instead it just has this:
[feedly version:]
[navigator user agent:]
The error message in the url box is: chrome://feedly/content/boot/error.htm?msg=[error]failed%20to%20include%20script%20files%20because%20TypeError%20--%20redeclaration%20of%20const%20hexcase%20in%20file%20%27chrome%3A%2F%2Ffeedly%2Fcontent%2Fapp%2Fjs%2F10101_feedly_1990.js%27%20at%20line%20number%20194
I'd like to try Feedly, but I can't even get it to start up!
Thanks,
Allison
