Lu Monte,
Thank you for your ideas! We will definitely consider adding other languages. The calculator is a great idea too.
As for the deductions from your goals, are your numbers not getting deducted properly? Please explain this a little more so that we can fix it as it should be updating your totals automatically.
allthenations set one of allthenations' replies as an official response to "auto calories, carbs, etc..." in TweetYourEats
allthenations replied on December 24, 2008 13:49 to the question "auto calories, carbs, etc..." in TweetYourEats:
Hey Daniel.
I apologize for any confusion about counting the calories, carbs, etc.
TweetYourEats will tabulate what you provide us.
If you notice on the dashboard, on the right hand side, there are Triggers. You would use those to tell us what the amounts are for the food item you are tweeting.
Example:
If we had a bacon cheeseburger that was 650 calories and 20 grams of fat, this is what we'd tweet:
d tyeats Bacon Cheeseburger *c650 *f20
The *c stands for calories and the *f stands for fat.
But if you don't know the amounts to tweet, simply tweet the food item and then go back into your dashboard later and enter in the amounts.
TweetYourEats will then tabulate your totals for the day so that you know how much you've eaten that day.
As for TweetYourEats automatically assigning a calorie/fat/carb value to every item you tweet, that'd be impossible. For example, many restaurant's bacon cheeseburger has a variation on calories, fat, and carbs.
Hope that helps and thanks for using TweetYourEats.com!
Chris
