Chowder, for an image, the url would be the location of the image file. For a youtube video, it would be the location of the swf file. For each youtube vid you can look up the embed code.
for a video you also have to use these attributes:
type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="330" height="280"
as well, you can't use "img" cause it isn't an image, you use, [[embed]] tags
just add the style="float:right; margin-left: 20px;" to make it stick to one side or the other that's all
if you still don't get it, go to http://rendur.com/ and play around with the code until you do, that's how you learn!
good luck little guy!

Hi Chowder - on when you're viewing the video on youtube, you copy the url at the top of the browser. Back in your SynthaSite, in the Properties of the video widget, you delete or paste over the default URL and click on 'Apply' at the bottom and your video will load! – Marije, on August 13, 2008 02:31

Thanks for this. It is great that you could use code to get the perfect solution. Thank you for sharing this trick. Get Satisfaction will try to interpret any HTML that you paste, so I am glad to see you managed to find a workaround. – Monique, on August 04, 2008 06:05

Monique, thanks for the feedback but I found a more elegant solution on my own. Here it is applied to an image, but you can equally apply it to anything:
[[img style="float:right; margin-left: 20px;" src="URL" alt="blee blee" title="Blablah"]]
where 20 stands for the margin in pixels
URL =URL
and the gobbledeegook is the alt and title tags
if you want to change it up, switch right/left, etc.
whooop!
ps for some reason the code tags are not working so substitute [[]] for <>

Hi Babak
Your best option here is to use the two column layout widget.
Drag and drop the two column layout widget onto your page. You can then drop the video widget in the one column and the text in the other.
Drag the green center axis of the widget to resize the width of the columns and drop additional two column layout widgets inside eachother to increase the number of columns.

Hi alphaboy
Which media player would you like to add to your site? Since I am not sure, I am going to send you the instructions to add a Windows Media player:
1) Go to: https://secure.burtonhosting.com/help...
Download and copy the HTML embed code for the player.
1) In SynthaSite drag and drop an HTML widget onto your page from the sidebar on the right.
2) Paste the embed code over the default tags in the editor.
I hope this works for you. Let me know if you run into any difficulties.
Best wishes
Monique
