It's not a feed in particular, it happens with some articles at random. I'll try to find out when this happens but disabling some add-ons and reinstalling feedly didn't work

some random images get rescaled to really small sizes even losing their original ratio. Images should only get rescaled to the maximum size possible to not overflow if they are too wide for the article frame

I think it should't be an overlay, what if you reach the bottom and the bar covers a link? I think it should be an element in the top like Firefox mobile and Safari mobile adressbars (Firefox mobile UI concepts)

OK, thanks for the fast reply, while I understand your reasons to make the sidebar a firefox element rather than a web element I think it's really annoying that the tab bar moves 'randomly' while switching tabs

the black sidebar should be a fixed element inserted into the page instead of a firefox sidebar so it doesn't shrink the tabs, and you could also insert the feedly bar in the top when visiting a page from feedly to go back to feedly when you finish reading the article

JeCh's reply to ""Night Mode" or "Dynamic Range Compression"" was just promoted to the most useful! Alvaro and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.

This has been already suggested here.

To sum it up, there are 2 independent things:

1) Normalize volume between tracks (replay gain).
2) Normalize volume within one track (dynamic compression)

There is a GStreamer plugin for replay gain analysis and application. There are also many dynamic compression filters, a lot of them are opensource. For example they can be found in MPlayer, ffdshow or in Audacity. The best solution for Songbird would be probably VLevel, which according to it's web page can be used as a GStreamer plugin. I use VLevel in foobar2000 and it works great.

So when the switch to GStreamer backend is will be done, this should be quite easy to implement. There should be a configuration panel to make a chain of DSP effects (= GStreamer plugins). The basic ones (EQ, compressor, replay gain, channel mixer) should be included. More can be added as addons.

<- like this, Is the only reason I use Google Reader Watcher and I think It is useful to know how many unread posts you have without opening feedly
