Alvin reported a problem in Vidoop on April 11, 2009 22:31:
ViDoop goes to correct URL, but doesn't fill in userid or password on certain sites!I have put up with the userid/password not filling in for certain sites for some time now! Three people have reported this according to this site and no response has been received. If you need examples of the sites, I will provide it. It is stupid to have Vidoop take me to the URL, but then I have to enter the userid and password. That defeats the whole purpose of using ViDoop. COX and Oneok are two big companies in OK that don't work for me. Can I at least get a response of 'yeah, we heard you?'-
Alvin started following the question "Password fill-in feature not always active" in Vidoop.
Alvin marked one of Benjamin Stover's replies in Vidoop as useful. Benjamin Stover replied to the problem "Sites tab lost the the passwords from the sites tab I created. Just disappeared one day.".

Sites tab lost the the passwords from the sites tab I created. Just disappeared one day.The site I created had about 20 passwords in it and I had been using it on a regular basis. One day this site was empty. I changed nothing. I have tried to use the 'open password file' function which did no good. I can find the file on my C: drive, but Vidoop doesn't recognize it. This type of problem, or variation of such, has happened three times now. Once was when Firefox 3 came out, but the other two are just flukes.
This is becoming an unreliable security device for me. I don't want to have to keep going back and trying to fix the application!
Alvin replied on December 25, 2008 20:09 to the question "Where are my local passwords?" in Vidoop:
I didn't change anything that I know of and my local passwords disappeared. I get a 'site empty' when I go to sites. The only one I have is in the default one. When I try to open the password file it thinks about it and quits looking. I can find the file on the C: drive, but can't open it. I have uninstalled and re-installed the plug-in and that did not help.
