Amitabh Chak's dashboard

I just bought a new Macbook. Why are the edges so sharp? Is there a solution? I am thinking of returning it. The edges cut into my wrists while I am typing. I went to the Apple store. They said they never heard of this. Yet I see plenty of postings on blogs with the same complaint.
