eMailaya works the same for both pop3 and imap.
it first downloads only the headers (in application settings window, the user can define to auto download X bytes of the emails as auto preview) and show the list to the user.

the user can then choose which email to actually download locally, only then, emailaya downloads the content of the email and show the preview pane on main screen.

Currently it is not possible to re-order to accounts listing in eMailaya itself.
we might add this feature in the future but notice that the main/first account will remain the first, for registration reasons.

well, now it seems to work ok. the only problem is that the video that appears on the main page seems to cover part of the login popup but not all of it so it is still functional.

do you see this on your side?

because firefox remembers me for a long time (i didnt close the tab) i dont even remember when was the last time i logged in but i guess it stopped working when clicking on logging in generates a popup (i knew that only when trying with IE), whenever that was.

im using firefox 3.5.3 and windows XPsp3

i did manage to log in using the login page you posted here but the login link doesnt lead to that page, i think it did in the past.

i can't login using firefox

something is changed and now i can't login using firefox. when using IE there is a popup for logging in and it doesnt appear in firefox. i have adblock that might be blocking it but in the previous way of logging in there wasnt any problem. please advice

i guess you mean you are trying to email using a mailto: link on a webpage. for that to work with emailaya, you will need to set emailaya as you default email client.

you can do it by opening the application settings window and there go to System and there click on the button with the yellow star on it with the hint: "set emailaya as default email application".

notice that the above operation requires admin rights because it changes your registry. if you are running emailaya under Vista, make sure to run it "as admin". once you set emailaya as a default email client, clicking on a mailto: links on the web will open a compose window with the relevant address.

as far as i know, they use IE engine, no? im not going to force you to fix it because i can't, so consider this FYI and see what you can do :-)

the browser is maxthon and yes, im talking about the tab "feedback". it doesnt scroll with the site (when scrolling it).

there are several ways to view attachments:

1) when viewing an email after downloading its content, you have an attachments pane (upper right corner of the window), doubleclicking on the name of the attachment will open it.

2) from the main screen, you have a clip column so for an email with attachments you will see this clip, clicking on it will open a popup menu with all the relevant attachments. clicking on one of them will open it for you.

3) when viewing an email, you have a special preview tab for images and videos. This tab appears only when relevant and opening it will show you all the attachments one after the other, images and videos.

One more way to add new contacts is by using the IMPORT toolbox in the toolbox menu. from the IMPORT toolbox you can add new contacts from different sources.

The contacts window is located on the left bottom corner of the main window. you have quick access to several actions and one button (rightmost one) is for management.

In the management window, on the top panel you have the option to add a new contact by clicking the Add button and typing in the name and email.

New contacts are also added automatically when sending an email to a certain email address.
