Amy Muller replied on June 30, 2009 22:43 to the problem "Burying topics does not remove them from search results" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi Jamie,
You're right -- it doesn't actively move the topic down, however, as new topics come in it does get "buried" as it doesn't pop back up to the top of the activity stream, even if there's new activity on the buried topic. I guess you could say it freezes it in time in the activity stream from the moment "bury" was applied to it.

Hi Leon,
Here's a help topic about getting content removed from your community.
Also, you can remove content yourself with the moderation tools.

A comment on the question "How do I remove my company" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi Romy,
Did you get help with this yet?
Paid accounts have access to the moderation tools which do give you the ability to remove content. However, to uphold our value proposition of transparency and honesty, your changes are tracked in a publicly viewable change log and can be disputed by anyone. We require that companies using the moderation tools do so responsibly and in the spirit of our Community Guidelines and Company - Customer Pact. – Amy Muller, on June 26, 2009 01:38
Amy Muller replied on June 26, 2009 01:29 to the question "Where are the features described?" in Get Satisfaction:
Hi Grey,
This topic might shed further light on what is included in the core features which are part of the free service and the baseline for all the paid packages.
We also are working on some much more informative content for those product information pages.

Ok. You can always flag content you want to have removed by clicking the "Inappropriate" link and we'll remove it for you. Here's a help topic about that.
Can you point me to the topic and I can remove it for you?

Also, I forgot to mention, if you have a company here in Get Satisfaction, you can purchase the Basic package which includes topic moderation tools like "remove" to remove inappropriate content from your own company's community here.

We allow a 15 minute window for deleting your own content. Once it's been there longer than 15 minutes, however, or has replies from other users, you can no longer delete it because it would involve either deleting other peoples' content as well or could potentially cause a conversation to not make sense.
