Thanks for your fulfilling answer! Yes, I understand my role as a cultivator - and thus also to build community around my channel - that's the key to get the channels going. I will experiment with that 'approved:[search tag]' functionality to go one way to make signal > noise.
That thing with LiveJournal I would guess is a +1 for me - concluding that I actually never read a blog on LiveJournal! So maybe it's a spam haven, yes ;).
Anders Abrahamsson reported a problem in Twingly on October 08, 2009 15:49:
Irrelevant results in Popular streamThere seems to be a "degree of irrelevance" - I often find myself deleting 1. spammy blogs (hosted usually livejournal). 2. blogs seemingly tagged something completely different - as if the search queries were "real estate marketing", "internet marketing", "make money from home" and others. I have tried to tweak the search tags adding with "search term" instead of search term (such as "social business" and "social entrepreneurship" instead of social business / social entrepreneurship) - don't know if it will help. Do Twingly Channels "learn" from what I delete? Finding common denominators from the deleted? Check the delete log from my channel http://twingly.com/sustainopreneurship to see what I have deleted so far.

@Martin: For the voting of ideas option, that is exactly what http://uservoice.com is built for. Getsatisfaction takes a much wider angle in the customer/user interaction/topics. Uservoice lets you vote on ideas. And in this issue, I think it is best to make it an option. And yes, I do agree, maybe some few more lines from each content would be nice. To get the idea on the content more deeply without linking and checking original source.

Just tweeted this BRILLIANT response! #abundanceeconomy #collaboration vs #competition.
"We even party at each other's parties".
Yeah, add a virtual cheers from me, next time!
A strong user voice, in search to get satisfaction from the things I CHOOSE to USE, carefully and conscious, with conscience...
Peace,

Agreed. But that is both driven by community, streams, sources, reactions, incoming links, all-in-all the human-machine semi-crowdsourced-semi-machine-governd-algorithm, buzz, and of live, universe and everything. It's shuffled from the community and the twingly databases. It will change over time when more contribute actively to your search tags! Tweak the system, Jocke! The Power of US!-

Ah! It was in the graphics / multimedia meta-category.
But isn't that a little too generic just to have one category for audio and sound production? Just a thought. See my first posting, where there is a multitude of uses for audio and sound production.
Music production on demand or recording a sound designed to be IDed with your brand? Difference, there...

I have a quite vast network in the landscape of electronic dance music, and I will keep it in mind. One profile signifying the skills needed (but he will not be available to take the ball, he is already too buzy with Nokia as Art Director these days...) is Tapio Hakanen a k a DJ Orkidea - just to see what type of jobs and activities a sound designer / music producer does these days...
http://www.linkedin.com/in/orkidea
(and yes, he is one of my 1st degrees...)
Perfectly illustrating the connection of sound+corporate identity!
(and yes, I included his last hit called Metaverse from his last album in my latest promo mix, soon online...)
