If you do a sp_session_logout() libspotify will try to synchronize any pending changes that has not been sent to the server yet.

You can then exit your application when the logged_out callback has been invoked.

Ok, We'll try to get sp_artistbrowse_album() in the next release.

I can unfortunately not give a date when it will be released.

''What's new'' is just a search for "tag:new". You can even try this in the normal client. The 'artist you may like' is a composition of your personal artist toplist + those artist's similar artist.

libspotify currently lacks support for toplists. This is also on our TODO list.

Is your python wrapper available someplace? Will it be in the future?

Yep, we know of this issue.

Before deciding what to do I'd just like to ask you if you are aware of the face the you are not able to enumerate sp_track:s from sp_album. This, if you want to render a view similar to the one in the Spotify client you still need to traverse all tracks from the artistbrowse result.

If you are just looking for a way to list all albums for a given artist I guess it makes sense.

Actually, you need to do a browse to query the availability of an album.

Just instantiating a sp_album object from a link will not trig a load from the spotify backend.

In the browse result callback you should be able to use sp_albumbrowse_error() and sp_artistbrowse_error() to catch any errors.
