andrew started following the idea "Add comments feature to clipboard." in Cl.ickable.

Popping up twice in gmailJust a minor bug report -- if I select a word inside a gmail message, see the Clickable popup, dismiss it and then go to the inbox -- Clickable shows up again even though there is no (visible) text selected.

Playing with cl.ickableSince Bill so eloquently asked to post opinions here -- here goes.
Overall I enjoyed testing it, looks like a great product. Made me want to hack at some cool FF extension too :)
I deactivated my cl.ickable after some initial playing with it. Why? Because it turns out that I use selecting in my browser more often that I realized and for things that Clickable is not of much help -- mostly to copy to a different screen or simply to highlight something. Having Clickable pop up every time started to annoy pretty quickly.
This was on my office desktop, I will try to install it at home to see if my habits there are different there and if Clickable will fit them better.
With this said I would still like to use the clips feature (should not it be Cl.ipable btw?) for when I'm researching something to keep easy notes and to sync them between home/office/laptop.
The solutions that would work for me at least may be this:
1. Have a mode to it that simply modifies the standard right-click menu in FF to add CLickable functionality as simple menu items. Then the UI does not change and habits don't change, yet when I need to do something special Clickable is there.
2. Have the bottom-right corner turn on/off switch work instantly without the need to refresh.
I guess it may also work if the bottom-right control would have an option to trigger the popup. So that when text is selected nothing happens, but when you click on some little clickable icon the popup for the currently selected text shows up. This way you don't have to remember to turn clickable on before selecting and it won't get in a way.

I personally would be interested mostly in private or may-be shareable clips.
With public clips you open a whole new can of worms -- fair use for instance. How large can a clip be to not trigger "stolen content" cries, etc. Clips of redacted/retracted articles, porn, etc.
Something semi-private may work better -- like designating somebody who's a friend to be able to see your clips or something like that.
