If you are commonly known by a nickname or stage name, you can email Chris (chris@corp.spock.com) and he can put that in for you on his end. Once you are indexed (should be several days), users can find you by that nickname or stage name and find you through the search. For example, Chris Watson (a.k.a. The Bicycling Guitarist) can be found by either name.

There is a user on Spock named "The Scary Guy." He legally changed his name. Check it out.

Make sure it is in .jpg or .jpeg format. If you are uploading it by link, make sure the source is accessible.

Also, try to upload pictures of yourself since this is a people search application, not one about animals or companies. People will know where you work by looking at your tags....

Spock had a problem with that this week but it is resolved by now. I also had problem removing the pictures (removing vote and not voting it down).

Next time, if you notice that something is out of the ordinary, it's usually a bug and the Spock engineers are most likely working on the problem.

Just upload it again and it should work. It's an occasional misfire with the system.

Next time, remove your vote (so that the picture disappears) and re-upload.

If you've signed up for Spock and now want your account deleted, just flag your own search result and enter "Delete account" in the comments field. The "Flag" link is in the blue bar on the right side. Please do not flag your name or other information to request that your account be deleted.

If you want your search result removed (for users and non-users), please remove the source of your search result (LinkedIn, MySpace, etc.) - it should no longer contain public information or it will just be crawled again. Once this is done, flag your search result and enter "Source removed" in the comments field.

If someone is impersonating you, please flag the search result, explain the situation in the comments field, and we'll assist you in getting it sorted out.
