A comment on the question "Any way to update business addresses?" in Brightkite:
Usually I try to play around with different options like street name, intersections, zip code, etc. Sometimes I have to compromise and just use the zip with a custom label, which usually shows up as city, state [label]. It's not the most accurate option, but at least I'm able to display the label and city correctly. If you like, you can DM me the location and I can mess around with it. :) – Lesley, on September 30, 2008 21:21

Hey there! I have had a terrible time getting Comcast to start my service on August 25th in Boston. I have been a customer for a zillion years and I'm moving and they keep telling me to call back and keep trying. I'm a CEO of a company, and I just don't have the time. It is a completely easy setup, and I am desperate. Can anyone help? I promise to write great things online if this works! dhessan@communispace.com

I created a mock up and this runs a back end database that can store all the entries entered into the iPhone I posted this to another question about this and just discovered this post. This does not recreate the admin portion of the site. It is for quick and simple execution of tasks to Sandy. After all this is all about interacting by email.

Hi Truk: I've seen some people reporting better calls and connectivity by turning 3G off. The software on the new iPhone will apparently try and hold on to 3G even if the signal is comparatively week to a full-strength EDGE connection. You don't mention where you are, but checking the AT&T Coverage Viewer might show if you are close to the edge of 3G coverage in your area.
I have heard some anecdotal evidence that installing applications only from iTunes instead of from the App Store on the iPhone itself leads to less problems. However, I haven't seen this confirmed specifically.-

I can attest to the Digital Media Outreach Team at Comcast being able to solve problems... quickly. We've had a few random things pop-up in the last year on our business connection, and Frank's team was able to get someone out to our office building within 30 minutes, instead of the following day like Technical Support promised.
Don't be afraid to email them or talk to them on Twitter! =)
Andrew Ruess shared an idea in Nissan on August 07, 2008 23:09:
Upgrading the Nissan Altima Hybrid with a Plug-In Battery PackI see that people are trying to convert the Toyota Prius into a plug-in hybrid vehicle. This is accomplished by adding additional battery packs and a rig to plug the car into a socket to separately charge those batteries. Some examples can be seen here via the CalCars non-profit and here at the EAA-PHEV group.
I have yet to see any projects that are trying the same undertaking with the Toyota Camry Hybrid... but its technology is identical to that of the Prius. And that technology was licensed to Nissan for the Nissan Altima Hybrid (what I own). So.. is anyone trying this on the Camry or the Altima Hybrid?
I would love to drive to work on battery power alone. So anyone want to start researching this with me? =)

Not a solution but a bit of a help...
I've created a couple icons on my home page to link to frequently used Sandy pages (for example lists)...
In the grocery store I can simply hit the icon for Sandy Lists and will go right there without having to fiddle with home page first.... still not the same as native app... but a bit of an aid while waiting
