Thanks for responding. I'll try to explain.
Pingplus gets selected text (yay!) but goes to the "Ping This" page (with the "link" and "title" fields -- odd for twitter-style messaging).
The Mentoliptus pingout bookmarklet (here) goes to the Ping Out page (with a Message field -- yay!) but we can't make it prepopulate that field with selected text until the PingOut page accepts URL parameters. And since the Ping This page accepts URL parameters, the idea was to make the PingOut page accept them too -- and maybe the Dashboard as well -- why not, eh?
Is that more clear?

The Mentoliptus pingout bookmarklet would be perfect if it could prepopulate the message with selected text the way PingPlus does. Unfortunately, the pingout page doesn't accept URL parameters. I've suggested that idea here.
The other big improvement would be displaying the Pingout in a z-layer popup on the page instead of a separate window (like how the TBUZZ bookmarlet pops up. That would be the perfect ping.fm bookmarklet!

Pingout page should accept URL parametersIt would be useful if the Dashboard page and the Pingout page would accept URL parameters to prepopulate at least the Message field (if not the group dropdown as well). This would allow bookmarklets and other links to make much better use of those pages. The page that the PingThis bookmarklet goes to already accepts URL parameters but doesn't provide nearly as nice an interface as Pingout, or even the Dashboard.-

Bookmarklet not working in Chrome 4.0.222.12The Zemanta bookmarklet is not working in Chrome 4.0.222.12. It worked a few days ago but as of the developer update to 4.0.222.12 on Oct 15 the bookmarklet no longer works. No response when the bookmarklet is clicked or when the code is pasted directly into the address bar.

Provide a Zemanta page to prep text for copy-and-pasteThis looks like a fantastic tool. Unfortunately, it does not support my blogging platform of choice, Posterous. For those of us who use unsupported platforms or email sites, it would be great if there were a page (kind of like your Demo page actually) where I could write my content, enhance it with built-in Zemanta, and then copy-and-paste it to my email or blog. I suppose I could use your Demo page for that, but perhaps you could provide a page for that purpose?
Andy Kaplan-Myrth replied on August 24, 2009 06:59 to the question "Lightning hides my folder pane!" in Postbox, Inc.:
A screenshot wouldn't show anything useful, but that's okay because deleting localstore.rdf solved the problem!
I enabled Lightning, disabled Nostalgy, exited Postbox and deleted localstore.rdf, and when I restarted Postbox the folder (and calendar) list worked perfectly! Thank you!
As a further test, I then enabled Nostalgy as well and restarted. So far, it looks like everything in Nostalgy works *except for* the function that hides the folder list. But that's okay -- I can manually move the divider bar to hide the list and I can open it again when needed.
One final thought -- I migrated my profile over from Thunderbird, so that may have something to do with why this was happening. I'll forward a copy of the old and new localstore files in case you want to analyze them.
Cheers,
Andy

Lightning hides my folder pane! When the Lightning add-on is enabled, my folder pane is hidden and I can't open it. I have Nostalgy installed to hide and view the folder pane, but it remains hidden even when Nostalgy is disabled.
I am using beta 15 on Windows XP SP3 and Lightning 0.9.1.
Andy Kaplan-Myrth replied on August 17, 2009 18:19 to the problem "Editing drafts displays HTML code" in Postbox, Inc.:
I still get this in beta 14 on Windows XP SP3. I prefer to only send email in text, so I have HTML format unchecked in Account settings. When I right-click any html message to Resend, it appears as it should. But when I right-click any text message to Resend, it shows some HTML formatting. Opening a message in the Drafts folder seems just to be a special case of this behaviour -- opening a draft is exactly like using Resend in any other folder.
Will this be fixed in a future beta?-

I've been kicking myself about this today, thinking I just couldn't see how to remove the favorite property on a folder, so it's a huge relief to find out that it's just missing right now! – Andy Kaplan-Myrth, on August 07, 2009 02:44
