That error occurs because the shapefile you loaded is not in the standard latitude/longitude format, requiring a .prj file that defines its coordinate system. Currently indieprojector does not support these other coordinate systems. I suggest uploading your data to GeoCommons Finder, which allows you to provide the .prj file. Among many other things, Finder will convert your data, and you can download it as a shapefile or kml, either of which will work with indieprojector.

Do you happen to recall which color scheme(s) you were trying to export when you had this problem? I haven't been able to reproduce it in Firefox 3.5.3 (don't have IE 7 immediately at hand), but perhaps it only happens for one or a few color schemes that I haven't tried.

Hi Bryan, sorry for the delayed reply. We're having trouble picturing the problem you are having. Could you perhaps post a screenshot showing what happens? (I think you can attach an image to replies here.)

This appears to be a problem due to Flash Player's security restrictions, which prevent it from loading the KML from Google. (The KML file generated from Google Maps actually points to data online and doesn't contain the data itself.) We'll have it working in an update within the next several days.
