A comment on the problem "It appears that Apple has charged my bank account, but I didn't buy anything from iTunes" in Apple:

i would contact your bank and tell them you want your card blocked before more charges appear. after i got 2 $1 apl*itunes preauths, i got $770 in western union charges. i did cancel and dispute, and got the money back a few days later, but my bank says the process could take 120 days to clear up. – andycool22, on October 23, 2009 20:50

i have a Verizon LG Env3 and when i post to twitter, people reply back saying whatever i posted is all nonsense characters. i don't think it happens all the time either.

i currently have 822$ in holds on my checking. i just had the bank cancel my card.
