Rebeca if the current release is working for you, I'd just stick with that. While the latest linux build does have some improvements, it's also not styled at the moment making it hard to see some things.

I'm using the Pownce app on linux without using wine and without any issues. Just get adobe air for linux: http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/air/

FYI, I'm using the app that I got from the download page, not the latest build. Should I use the latest build instead? (Is it stable enough?)

Hey lukeab, It's unfortunate that adobe air for linux is still in beta, but we are working on getting the air app functional under the linux platform. To check out the latest build you can download the source from http://code.google.com/p/powncedeskto...

Another 5 months has rolled by and the only way i see is wine, not native. COMON Adobe labs, get yer linux act together! We are a vocal market segment after all :

Also, it's on our list to revisit the design of the signup process, since most people are used to choosing their own password. We designed our signup to be as simple as possible, so we eliminated *lots* of form fields.

You can add these to the Suggested Other Profiles section on the Pownce community wiki at http://pownce.pbwiki.com . The password to edit is at the top of the page.

Your hcard doesn't authenticate you. If you didnt set a password, one will have been generated for you and sent in the welcoming email message.

Also, you can always reset your password using the form on the sign in page if you cant find the email.

I didn't set a regular password and I'm not sure how I'm supposed to log in.

Does my hcard ID authenticate me the same way my OpenID does on other sites?

If you had chosen to use something else other than Adobe Air (e.g XUL or Java) we wouldn't have this problem.

Considering Pownce runs on Linux already this is a disappointment. On one hand you support Open Source, on the other....
