Hi!
An update on this - Pro members no longer have the "go to motionbox" link on their embedded players. This is very exciting news for many of our members!
If you need any information about a Professional account with Motionbox, please contact us at support at motionbox dot com. We don't have Pro membership information available yet on our site, so you'll just want to write to us with your request.
Thanks!

Hi Ellie,
This is possibly resolved now. Are you able to check your account today and let us know if you see all of your Motionbox videos available to add to your Share site?
Thanks for checking and please just let us know if this is still outstanding for you.

Hi there,
I replied to your email a bit earlier sent to Motionbox Support. I hope you were able to get an answer from Shutterfly Support on this since this time.
Because they have their own uploader and handle the linking of Shutterfy and Motionbox accounts, they might be able to help you with this issue much better.
However, do let us know if you aren't receiving response for any reason and we can escalate on this end for you too.
Thanks for being a Motionbox member!

anitaw replied on June 08, 2009 16:06 to the question "CPU requirements for play back" in Motionbox:
Hi Richard,
Unfortunately, there is an issue with embedding the filmstrip player with private or protected videos. We're terribly sorry for this inconvenience.
This may not be an item which is resolved soon so the only way currently to embed successfully the filmstrip player is to set the video as open access. This may work out if you want to embed the video temporarily and keep all of your others as private. Once your video is no longer embedded, you can set it back to private.
I'n not sure if those are options for you, but we do hope you'll have more success with embeds and playback.
Please continue to let us know if you have any further questions.
Best regards,
Anita W.

anitaw replied on June 05, 2009 13:24 to the question "Why is MotionBox down AGAIN?" in Motionbox:
Hi Fred - I'm going to copy the same response I posted in your other GS post for anyone else who is following this thread too:
-----
We're very sorry but it seems you ran into systems maintenance last night.
The past month has seen new systems hardware being put into place and this has been a huge project for both the development team and the systems team. Unfortunately it has caused more down time than we would have liked or anticipated and more headaches. We do aim to for downtime to be when traffic to our site is typically at its lowest peak.
For this trouble, we are going to credit you partial for next month's Pro cost in advance and I'll be in contact with you through your email about this.
Again, we're deeply sorry for all of the inconveniences. As our new system is in place - it's bigger, it's better - hopefully in the very near-term our customers will see benefits too.
Your feedback is passed along to our team here company-wide and very much understood.
Kind regards,
Anita W.

Hi Fred,
We're very sorry but it seems you ran into systems maintenance last night which was divided into 2 parts - each lasting over an hour in the middle of the night Eastern Time. We weren't actually down for 7 hours but we truly apologize if you weren't able to get your videos uploaded or work done.

anitaw replied on June 01, 2009 13:18 to the question "MediaRSS?" in Motionbox:
Hi Jesse,
There are some very big projects currently being worked on that have taken highest priority and our team is rather small. However, RSS is an agenda item upcoming.
Please also keep in mind that many of our users are sharing personal, private video and for that reason they are using Motionbox. So we have some mixed user cases of some wanting their videos to be very public and others who prefer to keep them very quiet!
In any case, do feel free to check in with us about this feature. You guys actually got the team here actively discussing it. :-)

anitaw replied on May 29, 2009 13:39 to the question "Uploaded AVCHD files. So far unimpressed: Choppy video that doesn't look HD. What's going on?" in Motionbox:
Hi Chris,
Yes, if your previous default was SD, then those videos will now need to be converted to HD and you can do this by clicking on the HD link below each video. This conversion will only need to be done once per video, ever. Also, yes, it does encode from your original AVCHD source.
Was this video source uploaded directly to Motionbox or was there any editing software used before the upload? We'll take a look at your video!
Kind regards,
Anita W.

anitaw replied on May 27, 2009 13:45 to the question "Uploading AVCHD files captured using Final Cut results in error." in Motionbox:
Hi there,
I'm sorry to hear about this frustration. I am trying now to encode the video once again so please check on it in a few moments to see if the second try processed it well.
Also, you may want to keep in mind that you can upload the AVCHD content directly to Motionbox from your computer and we do advise bypassing video editors or software for best results in both processing and playback. I'm not sure if you had tried this yet? Motionbox should fully support AVCHD.
Also, if you must edit your video prior to upload, we do provide some recommendations on setting the video here:
http://www.motionbox.com/content/help...
There may also be other power users on GS who upload HD content and possibly they can help out as well! Feel free to search here in the archives of GS to see if previous posts have been about your issues with AVCHD processing.

anitaw replied on May 22, 2009 12:32 to the question "Embedded videos won't play." in Motionbox:
Hi guys,
We're terribly sorry for that brief outage of embedded videos not working last night. This was resolved and we do appreciate your patience.
Also, we do have weekly maintenance builds and the timing on them is a bit tricky because they will most likely affect *someone* as we have customers all over the world. They tend to be the same time each week, and since we've grown so much over the past year, currently we're figuring out exactly what time of the week is best! Please note they typically last no more than 15-20 minutes.
Again, everyone's feedback is very much appreciate and taken into consideration! Do let us know when you find issues with your player or account.
All the best,
Anita W.

anitaw replied on May 18, 2009 09:24 to the question "Why can't I switch to Standard Definition viewing?" in Motionbox:
Hi Mike,
There is currently not an issue we are aware of of switching from HD to SD or vice-versa. We would need to have your username or email address in order to look further into your account.
If you don't feel comfortable passing along either of these on GS, please just write to us at support@motionbox.com and we'll check this out right away!
Thanks!

If you have a Windows machine, first clear your cache in your IE browser with the following steps:
1. Click on Tools ->Internet Options
2. At Browsing History select Delete
3. Click on "Delete Files" at Temporary Internet Files
4. Close IE and close/relaunch the MXU
Sorry again for the earlier inconvenience!

Hi Rav,
Since there are so many possibilities and combinations that may all work just fine, we would advise to experiment or let the software be set to defaults on items in question. We don't have a copy of Vegas here in the offce and usually recommend not editing the video at all prior to upload for best playback.
If any of the power users here on Get Satisfaction have any further advice for Rav using Vegas, please chime in too! Thanks a bunch!

Hi Rav,
Have you checked out our guide for best compression settings? This may help out more:
HD-specific info:

compression settings:

We do recommend no editing prior to upload for best playback results but should you need to, hopefully that Help article can be of some guidance too.
Thanks!
