Hi Rav,
Since there are so many possibilities and combinations that may all work just fine, we would advise to experiment or let the software be set to defaults on items in question. We don't have a copy of Vegas here in the offce and usually recommend not editing the video at all prior to upload for best playback.
If any of the power users here on Get Satisfaction have any further advice for Rav using Vegas, please chime in too! Thanks a bunch!

Hi Rav,
Have you checked out our guide for best compression settings? This may help out more:
HD-specific info:

compression settings:

We do recommend no editing prior to upload for best playback results but should you need to, hopefully that Help article can be of some guidance too.
Thanks!

anitaw replied on April 14, 2009 14:05 to the question ""motionbox" vs. Vimeo .... what are the big differences ?" in Motionbox:
Hi,
Please do keep mind that due to removal of content that is copyrighted or inappropriate and/or doesn't meet our terms of service, this type of content is subject to removal.
Also, Basic accounts are subject to removal should the accounts reamin inactive for more than 90 days. However, we email and warn Basic users ahead of any deactivation.
We do have to undergo limitations on certain bad or inactive accounts in order to maintain acceptable storage levels and costs.
Hope this clarifies a bit more - thanks for the continued input as our company grows!

anitaw replied on March 26, 2009 13:31 to the question "Where happened to the screen grabs?" in Motionbox:
Hi Greg,
This screen grab - called a "poster frame" is now grabbing time 0 of your video - basically the very first screen your video shows. If you have it set to fade in from black, this may be what appears.
It used to be we had the halfway point but many customers didn't like this and wanted us to revert back to the original option. It may be that in the near future you are able to choose the poster frame from a couple of different options, but this is not yet available at this time.
I hope this clarifies any confusion and just let us know if we didn't understand correctly!
Best,

Hi there,
This users content was not removed until after he chose not to continue with his Motionbox account. He was warned several days back about the content and offered a Pro membership since his content doesn't fall within the guidelines of a Premium membership.
He was also informed about notifying us as to his rights of the content as per our terms of service agreement. However, he chose not to do this at this time.
Any further questions on this, please don't hesitate to ask!
Kind regards,

Hi there,
Motionbox is not unlimited bandwidth - you can read more about Premium limitations here: http://www.motionbox.com/content/help... - yes, we are currently unlimited in file uploads on Premium accounts, but we don't state on our site or in our terms that playbacks are unlimited. I just wanted to be sure to clarify this! :-)
Please don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions!

Hi there,
I just played back the one video in your account with sound successfully. Is this the video that was in question? It appears to play with sound on Motionbox.
Please just let us know if you continue to have any issues with sound on your flv video. We'd be glad to try to help further!

Hi Art,
Regarding your comment about uninstalling and installing Flash 10, the video may have been already been cached on your computer and therefore, wouldn't play correctly. We haven't heard yet this particular report. Were you able to reproduce this with any other videos? Hopefully now your videos are playing well.
Also, if you can provide more information about your request for a control panel for the plugin, that would be great.
Thanks again,

Hi Erik,
Yes, currently privacy settings are at video level and I have passed along your feedback to our poduct team about expanding them to folder level.
If you want to share an entire folder publically, what you can do is to make each video in that folder "open access" - then that folder and its contents are automatically public. The folders you would want as private, the individual videos could be set to private and those videos won't be shown unless you explicitly share them with others.
Thanks and continue to let us know your thoughts!

Hi Dave,
It would be great to have a link to your video or your Motionbox username so we can investigate the issue further. Also, be sure to let us know how the video was created (camera model etc) as well as any video-editing that was done prior to upload (software).
If you would rather not post that information here, please just send us an email to support at motionbox dot com. We'll take a further look and escalate to our engineering team if necessary.
Thanks!

Hi - Thanks for the feedback Art. So you feel like the colors seem off? This is something we haven't yet heard so anything further on this would be helpful.
Glad you are mostly liking the player though! It seems to be playing back videos even better than ever.
All the best,
