Can't wipe personal data off iPhone that needs to be returned - Help!
No way to wipe personal data off iPhone that is broken (unrestorable, non-functioning) before sending back. Apple has already sent replacement phone, but I need to return old one or get charged full price for a refurbished phone? This is a big security risk. No one at tech support could help.

How do you wipe iPhone personal data before returning to Apple? The iPhone can't be restored and Apple sent me a replacement phone; but I can't send back the broken one with my personal data on it! Any suggestions on how to wipe the data off a phone that boots but only gives emergency phone call option and careful tech support guided attempts at restore completely fail?
