if you haven't got anything constructive to say, or doesn't even like songbird I don't think you should be replying to a topic at the songbird getsatisfaction boards... Stick with Winamp and be satisfied instead :) In other news, Winamp is closed source and doesn't work on Mac or Linux, a good reason to implement video game music formats for songbird. – Anso, on December 28, 2008 22:22

I hope you work out the issues you have with the getsatisfaction system because I see many users getting angry over posts marked as "implemented" when not. I'm trying to tell them about the misunderstanding but hey, I'm just one guy :)

Another option might be a winamp plug-in wrapper. It's the easy way out and not the best way but in the worst case scenario it's an option. I personally hope for new addons developed by the songbird team together with or based on the code by the developers of the winamp plugins.

Though I'm pretty sure a plugin wrapper wouldn't work cross-platform, but what do I know ;P

I have the same issue, 1GB second generation shuffle, Mac OS X Tiger. Songbird 1.0.0. :/ The only thing keeping me from uninstalling iTunes
