Okie doke -- is the highlight that was/should be there blue? (I don't often use List View so I don't recall.) There was one other issue earlier with j/k not working, but that's been resolved. I'll have the devs look into it. – Melanie Baker, on July 31, 2008 18:09

Whoops -- found a bug in the Greasemonkey script that you'll DEFINITELY want to fix.
When you turn on AideRSS, you no longer see a highlight around a feed item in list view. So, when you use "j" and "k" to navigate up and down through feeds, you have no idea where you are. Normally, the item you're on is highlighted in the entry list.
Basically, you've blinded users (I'm running Firefox 3.1 on the Mac) as to where they are. Not so good. This is a pretty big keyboard shortcut feature in Google Reader.
Not clear if the same problem occurs with the XPI.
I might kill the Greasemonkey script and install the extension to test it out.

The only circumstance under which one version or the other would make a performance difference is if you had Greasemonkey installed, but were using the xpi, because basically you'd be running two copies of the code. But running whichever version's appropriate for your Google Reader setup shouldn't make any difference. – Melanie Baker, on July 31, 2008 16:28

Have GM installed (yes), and tried BOTH the XPI and the script. Same result with each. This is the URL for the file I pulled down -- it is the FF3 Extension Beta 1, which Melanie posted.

New Firefox 3 Greasemonkey Script & Plug-In for Google ReaderHave just installed the new Greasemonkey script for Firefox 3 (and also tired the plug-in), but so far am still only getting the AideRSS pull-down menu (excellent, good, great). I'm personally running FF3 RC1 on OS X 10.5.3.
I'm assuming I should be seeing something else, correct?

Hi Anthony - We've got a beta of the FireFox extension that should work with FF3 (fixed the broken Greasemonkey dependency issue). If you're still a FF3 user, would you like to do some beta testing on it for us? – Melanie Baker, on June 03, 2008 19:49

Anthony, apologies for the slow response. GreaseMonkey team has still not released an official update for FF3, but in the meantime, please give this a try: http://groups.google.com/group/greasemonkey-users/msg/932816b3eb2856a6 – Ilya Grigorik, on May 25, 2008 17:50
