I think this is a great idea!

I've also used xmpp notifications but from Jaiku (another Identica/Twitter like microblog service that was popular here in Sweden before Twitter took of here) and I think that it was really useful.

Hopefully we'll implement xmpp notifications right after the public launch, if not before.

Yes, mobile apps are very important. We'll definitely see how we could make something extraordinary smart for mobile devices. And when we release our API, we hope many want to do smarter things than we can create ourselves! If anyone are interested in helping us with the development for mobile devices, plz let me know: anton@twingly.com.

Share is of course something we think is really important. In the near future we will add "cc: Twitter" when you're posting a comment, and we will also add a lot of this kind of features in the future. A "retweet" link would also be great, I think! And of course sharing options to other services as well. Some of this features will come in just about a couple of weeks.

This is already possible for blog feeds. If you use Twingly Blog Search, and doing like this:

blog:blog.twingly.com "channels"
(it looks like this: http://www.twingly.com/search?q=blog:... )

You'll get a rss-feed from Twingly Blog Search with posts from blog.twingly.com mentioning "channels".

It would be very useful to do this for news sites too. We'll look into solutions in the future.

Some news sites, like DN.se, have rss feeds in their own search so if you're using them, it works anyway ;)

we've now implemented a possible solution for this, from now there's no items older than 24 hours in popular. We're not sure if this is the best solution yet, so please come back with feedback and examples so we could improve the experience.

Yes Jocke, thanks! They truly looks like crap and you're not the only one who thinks so, many users have emailed us about this.

And, it's actually in progress and on our list of things to be fixed this iteration. (Because of all feedback it was prioritized)

I don't know if the "grab title automatically"-functionality will be in place when the nicer look is going live, but it's for sure a nice idea and something we would like to do. It's probably a very important feature when we add drag and drop functionality to (our planned) browser buttons, desktop apps etc.

Yes, that's very very important. Hopefully this will be added next week. Another feature related to this one is retention emails, so you know when someone have answered your comment. These two are so important for the experience of the service that we will prioritize them and hopefully we could roll them out next week.

Jocke, you're totally right. We need to tweak the algorithm in many ways and we have already done some minor changes since launch. Please keep us posted on this, so we could improve it after your and everyone elses input.

Anders, yes, the users could tweak it a lot by using comments and likes etc, the crowsourcing functionality are very important for the whole experience of the Channel. We're very happy for your engagement in this!
