Adam, We are a start up venture based out of New York and Seattle, focused around changing the ways people interview for jobs.
A potential partnership or usage of Linkedin API will be a great way not to enhance just our site, also it will drive new traffic to Linkedin and help Linkedin users make the best use of their profile, connection information, job posting etc.

This is really sad that LINKEDIN is holding this API back so tightly and not letting the devs actually use it. We could enhance the way linkedin is being used right now,

good try but too many glitches
Its a genuinely good idea, however what happens if more than one person has the same name. There needs to be some kind of verification process in this whole 'crawl' to uniquely know what hyperlinks applies to an individual
