Hello Hamish.
To export a document to the iPhone you need to open the document in MindNode Pro and open the "Mac (Open documents)" tab on the sharing window.

Thank you for your feature request. I heard this request several times before, but to be honest I'm still not convinced that this should be a feature of the application. In favor of keeping the application simple and clutter free, I'm currently not planning to add it.
I know this is not the answer you were hoping for. I'm sorry for this.

You can copy and paste a branch by using the double-tab and hold gesture. This will bring up the cut, copy and paste menu.

An easier drag and drop way will be introduced in 1.1. I'll submit this update later this week.

Thank you for your comment. When exporting MindNode Pro sorts nodes based on the location. It first sorts them by y-location and if there are two nodes with the same y-location it takes the one with the lower x-location.

Sorting them based on something else is kinda difficult. I would need to add new UI for this and also add UI for defining based on what criteria it should be sorted. To be honest I think this is too much for MindNode. This would make it too bloated. My goal with this app is to keep it as simple as possible.

Sorry if this is not the answer you were hoping to hear :-/

I know this is something a lot of people would like to see. The problem with syncing is that it's really really hard to get right. Especially because the iPhone doesn't support attributed text (merging it back in is not trivial) and I'd also need some kind of conflict management in case a node gets edited on both devices.
My short term goal is to retain more attributes when sharing with the iPhone (background color, fill style, stroke style) and than start looking into real sync. But I don't want to promise too much at the moment, sorry.

It's on my todo list, but I don't assigned it a milestone. Fixing export has a higher priority atm. It could be that I add importing when fixing it, but I don't want to promise.

Export is possible, but I have to add that the outline is not recognized as a list in Pages/Word at the moment. I'm planning to fix this in a coming update.
Import is currently not possible.
btw you can try out the export in the unregistered version of MNP: just select any nodes and use copy and paste to copy them into a text document.

I found a way to get the possible printable rect from the operating system. I'm now using this to calculate the margins. It's also possible to completely remove the margins in code, but this will cause problems for users with printers who don't support borderless printing. Adding UI would be possible, and I'll consider adding it (probably not in the near future - too long list with other things :-( )

Thank you for your answer. This will be a very tough feature to add as I'm not sure what should happen when the user moves a single node in the bounding box. I'll probably need to lock them down.
